Annette has been a Christian all of her life and she is very excited about this trip to Kenya as it will be her 1st mission trip. She served as the Vacation Bible School director at her church for many years and was also the leader of a worship dance team. Annette is currently on the prayer team at New Day Community Church in Summerville, SC. She is excited to be able to pray for, encourage and minister with the people of Kenya who will be attending the scheduled conferences. Her training in elementary education and Vacation Bible School has provided many experiences that she will be able to use while ministering and teaching at the Emmanuel Orphanage Home in Nakuru, Kenya.
In a recent journaling experience, Annette felt the Lord say, “Expect Miracles”. She is expecting God to do mighty things in her own life and in the lives of the people she will come alongside. Annette would like to thank you for your support financially and especially your prayers.
Jonah Katamba is an IT specialist and a Ugandan youth minister who grew up in a Christian family of 8 with 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Unfortunately he lost his father at the age of 6 years due to cancer and he was taken to an orphanage where he spent 6 years. It was there that he studied and experienced a different journey of life both spiritually and physically. It was during his stay at the orphanage that he encountered American friends and volunteers that came to his orphanage to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and spread love to the orphans and also sponsor them. Jonah was greatly inspired by Americans and has grown up with a great vision from God to be a blessing and a desire to travel nations for the Lord.
Currently Jonah serves at Righteous of God International Ministries church, in Mukono City of Uganda under the leadership of Pastors Emmanuel & Brenda Binaisa. He also leads the church media department for over 5 years. He has worked on big weddings and church functions for both photography and videography. Jonah also uses his skills in digital marketing and social media management to help his church ministry. He's currently working with a team of youths at his church, training them to serve the Lord under the media department.
Jonah is looking forward to using his skills to equip Emmanuel Orphanage Home and also bless the team as he captures a lifetime memory of the mission trip. With his skills in video editing, he's excited to help the team by capturing every moment. He is also looking forward to praying with people and spending time with the orphans.
